INTERFAITH LEADERSHIP

Currently, I direct West Chester University’s Interfaith, Meaning-Making, and Spirituality Project which includes the WCU Faculty & Staff Interfaith Advisory Board, the WCU Student Interfaith Action Committee, and the WCU Interfaith Leadership Fellowship program. This initiative is supported by the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

I have served in a variety of faith contexts as a community leader including congregations within the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Methodist Church, and the American Baptist Church (USA). These experiences have given me skills in public speaking, community—based teaching, community engagement, event planning, supervision, grant-proposal writing, counseling, interpersonal communication, conflict mediation, youth leadership development, and program implementation.

In these ministerial capacities, I was a featured guest on the Uncovered Dish Christian Leadership Podcast discussing spiritual leadership and young adults as well as a featured writer for Kindred Youth Ministry. I’ve also contributed as a freelance writer to The Secret Place, a contemplative, meditative, and inspirational daily devotional from Judson Press.

Princeton Health

In the summer of 2016, I served as an interfaith chaplain intern in the Critical Care Unit and Behavioral Health Center of Penn Medicine: Princeton Health. Through this experience, I developed a passion for interfaith work.

In 2018, I attended the Future of Joy and the Good Life Conference at Yale Divinity School’s Center for Faith and Culture to join a community of scholars and spiritual leaders interested in the future of teaching the subjects of joy and the good life at universities and beyond.

Passionate about interfaith education, dialogue, and social action, I attended the Interfaith Youth Core Leadership Institute in 2020, a virtual gathering and training for educators who aim to create positive, meaningful connections between people of different faiths, traditions, and world-views.

In November 2020, I provided faculty support and and guidance for the student-led Better Together Days at West Chester University, a week of interfaith collaboration on campus modeled after Interfaith Youth Core (now Interfaith America. In 2023, the event won WCU’s the “Best Student Club Collaboration” award from the Office for Student Leadership and Involvement.
